Mac OSX procedure:

rename navigon.ipa to navigon.zip
expand navigon.zip
open /payload/navigon.pkg
drop your chosen maps
compress
rename to navigon.ipa

Ok, but how do I load it onto my iPhone? iTunes says it couldn't be added because it is not a valid application.

You must compress Payload folder and the other file (can't remember the name), NOT the folder that contains both
